Här följer en rapport från konferensen, skriven av SIFE Mälardalen:
We held our workshop on Saturday 30 may, from 14.00 till 15.45.
The central theme of the workshop is Knowledge transfer; how youth can rework the world. The presentation started with SIFE, the criteria, SIFE Sweden basic facts and then SIFE Mälardalen.
We made a simple case on knowledge. The workshop participants were divided into group and they had discussions on how knowledge transfer can be used to transform lives of people around the world. We later shared our story by presenting two projects: Econofarmer and Ghana Snail Farm. SIFE workshop was fully booked.
Some conference highlights:
Participants at the conference are from 20 countries representing Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America. The conference discussed; social entrepreneurship, social activism, social engagement and social business.

Non-governmental organizations should see grants as investments. Don’t afraid to fail. Be flexible-be ready for change. Youths are natural entrepreneurs The power of change is in the youths. Take charge because the effect of today affects the prospects of tomorrow.
The challenge:
A task was given to conference participants on how to make people in Örebro travel eco-friendly while also creating jobs for youths in the municipality. This is related to the new SIFE criteria. The team J won with a SIFE student-Jonas Brorsson. Awards and prizes were given.
Summary:
Above all, with 150 participants, 20 countries from 4 continents, 13 workshops, 4 panels , 2 seminars, 1 challenge, and alot of fun. Every participant at the conference learns something and poised to go back to their individual communities to make a positive impact.
It is a great privilege to be at the conference, many thanks to SIFE and LSU. For SIFE students, the conference is like the right place for the right audience!
